"Harps of Gold," an exhibit featuring 53 fretless zithers, ran the month of October, 2004 at Wylie House Museum in Bloomingtom, Indiana, the historic 1830s home of Indiana University's first president, Andrew Wylie. Though the fretless zithers were a bit out of period (the 1795 Broadwood forte piano in the background of one image was owned by the Wylie family), the instruments and the house seemed to get along quite well. Here are some images from the exhibit, which offer a look at the instruments in a somewhat less clinical setting than the gallery images.
